There are currently ten clubs in Essex, stretching from as far south as Brentwood to as far north as Wix. Check out the club profiles to see where your nearest club is and find out where they meet every week. Don’t worry if you don’t live nearby, there are no rules on who can join what club so take your pick!
Essex Young Farmers has been steadily growing year on year and we ended 2006 /2007 with 380 members signed up – an increase of 60 members on the previous year!! If you are keen to help us exceed this number for the coming 2007-08 year please give us a call (01371 859732) and they will tell you what each club is up to over the next few weeks. Each club has a regular meeting place, usually a pub, where they meet most weeks but some weeks they may be out and about so it is best to phone up and check what they’re up to. Clubs have varied programmes for the year, which include a good mix of guest speakers, trips out and just catching up in the pub. Some speakers we’ve had in recent weeks range from a handwriting analyst to a vet, and trips out have included a tour around the Dartford Tunnel and a Rolls Royce garage.
Clubs usually have a brief meeting once a week to discuss what competitions, fundraising events and parties are coming up in the county and make plans for any events they are holding.
