It gives me great pleasure to be able to write a report that will be going onto the Essex YFCs New web Site. Its fantastic news that its finally up and running for the world to see, look in and be apart of what really goes on in E.Y.F.C.
Like the rest of the county Dunmow were pleased to see a little frost, followed by its big brother ‘snow’, arrive this week. Tomorrow morning should be blue skies frost on the ground and a days shooting at the savages (fellow Dunmow YF member) so all is looking very good.
It has to be said things are looking just as positive with in Young Farmers as well. Preparation is well underway for our county show that is being held at mopeliers Farm again on the 20th May. All fingers are crossed for a little less rain this year!. With three members from Dunmow on the Show committee I get a constant up date of its progress. I expect to see you all there!
I attended my first fundraising committee meeting last night and I was amazed with the amount of work that has been put in and the amount of work people will be putting in over the next year. Everybody how attended were full of enthusiasm and new creative ideas. They have managed to raise over £50,0000 so far and they have every intention to raise a whole lot more. Steve Bucket is Currently organising a group sponsored Ski Dive for Dunmow YF in the summer. So far he has got over 15 victims to jump, I am sure more will become braver nearer the time, including our club President Simon Marriage I hope.

Dunmow have been flat out recently. Four of the members and myself are currently training for the senior public speaking competition, our trainer Judy Savage is being particularly patient with us so thank you very much. Three of the members are new member this year so they really have jumped into the deep end. They are exactly the sort of members a club need willing and enthusiastic, simple just getting involved to meet new people for a laugh. We have also got parties organised, a valentines party for 16th February and another in March. With a 50% increase last year with new members and ten so far this year
