Essex Young Farmers' Country ShowgroundEstablished for over 30 years, The Essex Young Farmers Country Show is one of the premier agricultural shows in the county, with average attendances in excess of 13,500.

Ticket prices include a FREE Show Programme with all the information you need for a great day out.

The Essex Young Farmers Country Show will be held on Sunday 17th of May 2015 and will, once again, be at Boyton Hall, Boyton Cross, Roxwell. Tickets are generally available from early February and we will offer the option to purchase online or via our County Office and always offer a discount to the early birds – this will be 15% up until midnight on Saturday the 16th of May 2015 for online sales and Monday the 11th of May for postal sales via the County Office.

 

As of Monday the 11th of May 2015, the ladies from the County Office move lock, stock and barrel up to the Showground at Roxwell and will be based in our mobile office, lovingly named Mo. If you are unable to purchase online and have missed the 11th of May postal option, you can still get the discounted tickets from the County Office if you are prepared to collect in person between 7.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday or 7.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday 16th May.

Farming Throughout the Years
We have a demonstration of farm machinery old and new to compare how farming was done in previous years. All the machinery used in this display has been kindly loaned from the County’s agricultural dealerships and vintage machinery enthusiasts.

Tug of War - Essex Young Farmers' Country ShowTug Of War Final
This is always a fiercely fought contest with many clubs training from as early as January. The top 6 mens and 4 ladies teams are competing on Show day, all hoping to take away the winners trophies.

Come and see our parade of classic machinery, lovingly restored to its former glory. Weather permitting; the vintage tractors will also be joined by the steam engines.

The Dog and Duck Show

Gun Dog Scurry
An open scurry for anyone with their dog at the Show to enter. Help and advice will be on hand from our expert team. For more information, visit the Game Fair on Show day.

Young Farmer Competitions
This is an opportunity for the Essex Young Farmers to show off their sporting talents. This year, they will be going head to head in a Lawnmower battle and competing for the title of ‘Super Young Farmer’!

Application packs for our 2015 Show will be available online for each area so please see the relevant area for more details from late November 2014 as we will post these as they are prepared.

We have a provider of mobility scooters and wheelchairs at the Show and if you are interested in finding out more information or pre-booking one please click on the below link and contact Ross. Although the company is based in Poole, they also offer this service to events throughout southern England and have been coming to the Essex Young Farmers’ Country Show for a number of years now. Prices are £10 in advance or £12 on the day and they will be located in the main car park near the disabled parking bays.
