Essex Young Farmers' Country ShowgroundEstablished for over 30 years, The Essex Young Farmers Country Show is one of the premier agricultural shows in the county, with average attendances in excess of 13,000.

At the Essex Young Farmers’ Country Show we pride ourselves on the quality of our Main Ring Attractions – see “Attractions” for more information.

Farming Throughout the Years
We have a demonstration of farm machinery old and new to compare how farming was done in previous years. All the machinery used in this display has been kindly loaned from the County’s agricultural dealerships and vintage machinery enthusiasts.

Tug of War - Essex Young Farmers' Country ShowTug Of War Final
This is always a fiercely fought contest with many clubs training from as early as January. The top 6 mens and 4 ladies teams are competing on Show day, all hoping to take away the winners trophies.

 

Vintage Tractor/Steam Engine ParadeSteam Engines - Essex Young Farmers' Country Show
Come and see our parade of classic machinery, lovingly restored to its former glory. Weather permitting; the vintage tractors will also be joined by the steam engines.

The Dog and Duck Show

Gun Dog Scurry
An open scurry for anyone with their dog at the Show to enter. Help and advice will be on hand from our expert team. For more information, visit the Game Fair on Show day.

Young Farmer Competitions
This is an opportunity for the Essex Young Farmers to show off their sporting talents. This year, they will be going head to head in a Lawnmower battle and competing for the title of ‘Super Young Farmer’!

Application packs for our 2014 Show on Sunday 18th of May are available online for each area so please see the relevant area for more details.

We have a provider of mobility scooters and wheelchairs at the Show and if you are interested in finding out more information or pre-booking one please click on the below link and contact Ross. Although the company is based in Poole, they also offer this service to events throughout southern England and have been coming to the Essex Young Farmers’ Country Show for a number of years now. Prices are £10 in advance or £12 on the day and they will be located in the main car park.
